Fairytale
'cause I don't care for your fairytales
You're so worried about the maiden though you know
She's only waiting on the next best thing
Snow White is doing dishes again cause
What else can you do
With seven itty-bitty men?
Sends them to bed and calls up a friend
Says will you meet me at midnight?
The tall blonde lets out a cry of despair says
Would have cut it myself if I knew men could climb hair
I'll have to find another tower somewhere and keep away from the windows

Teachers Day Celebration (:
Went to school with Natalie. I didn't see her in the train until the doors were closing and I met her at Admiralty. Natalie, We have to watch Vampire Suck together!!! :) Try sneaking in the cinemas...
Played with Yu Jing and Qi En during the celebrations! The catwalk was so cute! Mr Bernard Li, Ms Goh (Singaporean Taeyeon) and Ms Heather ___ were selected. They dressed up as a hockey player, teenage girl in mostly Top Shop clothing and a Anime character respectively. :)
After the celebrations, we gave present to the teachers. Mr Hisham said he saw me dancing (LOL!!!) I went to watch Step Up 3D and had Long John Silvers with YJ as well. :) YJ was playing with the coke and popcorn during the movie... then we went to Mini Toons, Popular, Laser Flair and KIDDY PALACE!
YJ, here's a cat for you!

I love Jay Chou! :)
Jay's not the stereotype you have in your mind. His lyrics mean so much more than you can imagine. Look at his heart, more precious than all the superstars you think are noble. Jay's a legend.
Jay Chou visits fan in hospitalThe singer specially made a trip to the hospital to visit a cancer-stricken fan before his concert Call him a superstar with heart if you will. Taiwanese prince of pop Jay Chou was in Tianjin, China recently for his upcoming concert when fans witnessed Jay going into a hospital. According to reports, Jay was visiting a sick patient, who is also an avid fan of his. Jay's company originally arranged for a phone interview with the cancer-stricken child, but the star insisted on going down personally, giving the child a pleasant surprise. Besides giving the child his autographed album, Jay also offered precious words of encouragement for the child. "Although you can't watch the concert in Tianjin, you can go and watch the others once you've recovered." Jay also promised the child to invite him to the concert once his surgery is over. This is not the first time the modest superstar had shown his delicate side. Back in 2004, a female fan of Jay's was involved in a serious accident and doctors declared the girl in a vegetative state with no hope of recovering. However, the girl's mother found out that she responds to Jay's songs and miraculously, she woke up from her coma. According to the girl's mother, Jay frequently comes to visit, but never speaks of it publicly. "Jay and his mother are both kind people; he was just like a big brother to her."

My Great-grandma
Nobody knows as much as my family does about how magnificent My Great-grandma is. She's 94 this year and she's overcome so many ordeals to be with us today. She is popular not because she's rich but because she has a kind soul and she is never filled with hatred for anyone. I am so fortunate to live my whole youth with her and I am happy she's still with me. She contributes so much to the society but the society does not appreciate her as much as our family does. She is an angel who gives all of us hope and confidence.
Since I was young, she yearns so much for us to visit her but I always delay our visits as I always give the excuse that we live at the other end of the city. Have I actually ever wondered that I am one of the only few who has a great-grandma around? She calls me almost everyday to ask me how we're doing, whether we've eaten, and to live in harmony but have I ever initiated the call before? She remembers all of our birthdays and gives us red packets not on our birthdays but two months before. Why is that so? We visit her so rarely that she is afraid she will not give us the red packet in time for our birthdays. Have I ever thought this way?
When I was younger, I had all my family members by my side and I lived in a very beautiful but humble 4 room flat. My Daddy was there to protect me; My Mummy was there to give me faith; My brother had been the cutest thing you'd ever see. I was never satisfied with what I had. In fact, I was unhappy with my life. I wanted so much for a materialistic life despite the loss of my perfect life.
When I am older, I do not have all my family members with me. I have what I used to yearn for: Freedom, Friends, Money. But now, I do not require all these. I just want my family members with me. What a perfect life I have.
I hope my moments with you will last.

Stressed out not because of exams but of Penguin Diner 2! Ambrose keeps boasting about how good he is and I just can't seem to get through Level 9! Haha. As encouraged by Tricia, I am now in Great-grandma's house and have been wasting time for the whole day in front of this computer. I may do some revision tomorrow... Till then!

Helen (:
I did a random interview with Qi En in class. Questions include whether the Chinese people have an Ang moh accent, tall, pretty, etc. Thank you to Corliss, Yu Jing, Clara, Darren, Jun Hui, Xu Zhuo and the smart interviewers for your efforts! I will tabulate the results for you by Tuesday! :)
My buddy doesn't seem like those spoilt brats who keeps asking Daddy for money. She is friendly and takes the initiative to chat with me but not excessively which is nice! One thing that I'm puzzled about is that when I give her my lovely kinder buenos, she left it on the table. I safe kept it for her because people told me she might have forgotten to take it. When school ended, I passed it to her but she didn't take it. I told YJ and she finally accepted it when YJ 'persuaded' her. That was odd. I look forward to seeing her tomorrow!

Can you believe it? Aww my gosh! Tomorrow, Helen (aka xiang lin) will be coming to BPGHS to see me! Haha! Emotions overwhelm me now. I'm excited to see how pretty, talented and friendly she is. At the same time, I'm nervous about being an exciting host. Luckily, I've got my precious guides and Qi En with me to share this experience with me!!! Okay, I've yet to tidy up my place but I have chosen what to wear on sat and sun! :)
Brief intro of Chengdu(where Helen comes from):
- Large population of 11 000 670 - Established in 311 BC (what!) - Humid Subtropical climate (Similar to Singapore) - Recently named as China's 4th most livable city by China Daily
I like their country because they have a pretty mix of urban and rural features which makes it so cool!

I ran around the school hall, jumped and hopped about the stage, sang my favourite national day songs at the back of the hall, cheered and finally ended the celebrations by just getting to know the name of my chinese buddy! Helen! hehe. pretty excited bout this but i hope I can still cope well with my studies! :)

i love ndp girl guides

I wonder how my life would be like without NDP and what it'll be like without Girl Guides. Thank you all for changing my fate. I really love the times we spent in the Guides HQ, Nee Soon camp as well as padang. I enjoy myself very much as a guide and being with all of you is a pleasurable experience! It's the nation's birthday but it's also the last time we are marching together as one. Things will change but our memories are forever. The first session at the HQ, I felt competition as any one move we make, we are at risk of being out of the contingent. Monday will be our last session at the Padang. We now feel a sense of unwillingness, unwilling to leave each other. I will always keep all of you in my memories. Thank you once again. (:

yo!
None of you missed out on the beautiful fireworks right? They were so awesome! Best so far! I can imagine how great the NDP will be! Today is the last rehearsal so I'm feeling kind of sad and happy. I'm happy because I can finally alter my guides skirt and I have the saturdays to myself! However, I'll definitely miss the lovely guides and pretty yas! I'll always remember you girls! :)
Anyway, I'm going to meet Daddy at 10 later. Ambrose is getting high-stung about meeting daddy. :)
